# Launch your first campaign

The **Your first campaign** guide walks you through five steps. It also appears as a card on the **Today** page until your first campaign is launched.

1. **Connect a mailbox.** Click **Connect mailbox** and sign in with Google or Microsoft. See [Connect a mailbox](/mailboxes/connect-a-mailbox.md).
2. **Add at least 10 prospects with an email.** Import a CSV or use **Find contacts**. See [Import and export CSV files](/prospects/import-and-export-csv.md) and [Find emails with the Contact finder](/prospects/find-emails-with-contact-finder.md).
3. **Write your first email.** Create a campaign and open the **Sequence** tab, or draft it with the Assistant.
4. **Choose who gets it and when.** Add the audience and check the schedule.
5. **Review and launch.** Nothing is sent before you approve it.

When you launch, Reach-book.com sends the first email right away (within your sending window) and the follow-ups on the days you set. See [Create a campaign](/campaigns/create-a-campaign.md) for every option.

> **Note:** Campaigns need a Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox. SMTP mailboxes can send single emails but can't read replies, so they can't run follow-up campaigns.
